| Chief Sando's retirement
gift: This project took me 8 months to complete. Its an intarsia project made from 11 different exotic woods. The detail in the Chiefs face is fretwork. Its mounted on 1/4" mirror. The inscription was done using a laser on the back side of the mirror, then painted with black spray paint. I used a multitude of different wood species to bring out the colors of the eagle. The woods I used include: Walnut, Zebra wood, Ebony, African Mahogany, Purple Heart, African Paducah, Red Oak, White Oak, Pine, Maple, and Bubinga. |

Japanese Dragon This pattern was sent to me from a customer in Las Vegas. It took a while to figure out just how I was going to make this into a woodworking. Finally my son Daniel said "Dad, Why don't you just do a fretwork out of it". Sometimes when your stuck on something, ask a kid. You may be overseeing the obvious. The Dragon came out great, and my customer was very pleased. 20" Diameter, $300 |
